Democrat Senator still sits in DC. Make it right: since the court is deciding yet another critical election in this country, might as well give Norm Coleman the win in Minnesota. In other nail-biter news, the Albany Business Review is reporting that Republican Jim Tedisco is leading by 17 votes over Democrat Scott Murphy as the absentee [...] The special election to replace Kirsten Gillibrand is effectively a dead heat, with the outcome to be determined by absentee ballots, reports the Schenectady Daily Gazette. With 100 percent of the precincts in the congressional district reporting, Murphy led Tedisco by 65 votes out of 154,623 cast, according to The Associated Press. But the estimated 10,055 [...] Reports are that voting is light in the special Congressional election in upstate New York’s 20 District. Interestingly, both sides are now attempting to deflate expectations.
