Sarah Palin has returned, on a tour to hype her autobiography Going Rogue. And, of course, the liberal media, which alleges her irrelevance, is back on the attack, thus confirming that she is still relevant.
Palin is said to have received a $5 million dollar advance, which should more than cover the $50,000 legal fee she claims to have been charged by the McCain campaign for vetting her. Since the book is the number one pre-order on both Amazon and the Borders website, HarperCollins’ $5 mil seems to have been well-spent.
The down side is that Ms. Palin is once again suffering the slings and arrows of the MSM that remains both worried about her political potential and pissed off that she seems to be able to exist in the public eye without their help. And the MSM is nasty. Andy Ostroy at the Huffington Post referred to her in his column as a MIL*F, a sexist slur that would have gotten him fired had he used it for any of the approved important women. Keith Olbermann, the ranting hysteric of MSNBC, made fun of the book without even reading it.
So history will repeat itself. Palin will head out to the hinterland where she is understood and appreciated while along the coasts the media libs will mutter imprecations and trip over themselves to blacken her character.
Let them do their worse. She is not going away.
