Yesterday was not a good one for President Obama. OK, it was obvious months ago that Creigh Deeds wasn’t going to get elected in Virginia (although no one thought he would be whupped by 20 points), but Mr. Hopeandchange put a lot of charisma on the line to get Governor Corzine re-elected here in New Jersey: three visits, plus 2 more from proxy Joe Biden and a couple from Uncle Billy Coozehound and Al Bore.
To no avail. In a state where registered Dems outnumber Republicans, where urban cities rule the political landscape, where the US socialist welfare state is already under construction, multi-millionaire Jon Corzine was defeated by former US Attorney Chris Christie.

Hurray for NJ. Now all we have to worry about is the next few weeks until the rats are ushered out. Let’s hope they don’t take everything with them.
