1. It took the Times until paragraph 4 to note that he was Hispanic.
2. They buried the most interesting part of the article. “The column was highly critical of Mr. Sandoval, saying that he answered the question ‘with a note of pride in his voice.’” But the audio was not rolling at that point. How could they tell?
